There is a design flaw in these but I was able to fix them for almost nothing. The top rod holder drops down into the base. The base attaches firmly to the rail, but they do not attach firmly to each other. If you tip over, the will seperate and your rod and the top will go into the drink for sure. Simply wrap one wrap of electrical tap around the top piece where indexing/alignment studs are and it will hold tight into the base. This simple fix makes these a great deal compared to the 40 dollar omega pro yak attack.
