YUP! A solar powered toilet. I got a rain barrel and plumbed it into my toilet, because we pay for water. In our area we can’t use rain water for much, but it is encouraged. With this setup the rain barrel wouldn’t fill the toilet, even thou the barrel was above the toilet, in elevation. This is when I bought this pump and installed it to the plumbing with clear vinyl tubing to the plumbing to the toilet. It works great. You flush the toilet and the pressure drops, which turns on the pump. It stops pumping when the pressure goes back up, because the toilet valve closes. Not many of you would ever dream of having a Sun to run the pump, but the electricity is as free as the water.The only challenge was hooking it up to the plumbing going to the rain barrel and the toilet, which lead to the vinyl tubing and hose clamps to the pump. Nothing else fit, but it was easy to convert to connect the rest.Good luck on your project. [...]
